SYREX is looking for a CCTV Installation Manager to manage the delivery of CCTV, access control, alarm and monitoring system works on live construction sites across London.
This is a non-working management role. The role is responsible for planning, coordinating and managing installation works, reviewing RAMS, managing site documentation, coordinating with principal contractors and making sure works are delivered safely, professionally and in line with site requirements.
The successful candidate must have strong construction site experience, a valid SMSTS certificate and a suitable CSCS management card.
Main duties
- Manage CCTV, access control, alarm and monitoring system installation works
- Act as the main management contact for site teams and client representatives
- Coordinate daily and weekly installation activities
- Review RAMS, method statements and task briefings before works start
- Manage installer attendance, supervision and site access requirements
- Coordinate with principal contractors, site managers and other trades
- Check that operatives are inducted, briefed and working to agreed RAMS
- Monitor site safety, housekeeping and quality standards
- Manage works involving cabling, camera locations, access control equipment, NVRs, routers, monitoring links and associated equipment
- Check that work areas are controlled with barriers, signage and exclusion zones where required
- Make sure works at height are planned and carried out by trained operatives
- Review equipment inspection records, access equipment checks and installation records
- Support design reviews, layout changes, cable routes and residual risk information
- Manage quality records, commissioning documents, handover packs and client sign-off
- Report hazards, incidents, near misses, defects and non-conformances
- Stop works where unsafe conditions are identified
- Support client audits and compliance checks
Required experience and qualifications
- Previous experience managing CCTV, access control, alarm or security systems installation works
- Experience working on live construction sites
- Valid SMSTS certificate
- Valid Black CSCS Manager card or suitable CSCS management route
- Good understanding of CDM 2015 contractor duties
- Good understanding of RAMS, task briefings and site controls
- Strong knowledge of construction site access, logistics, work at height and coordination with other trades
- Able to manage installers, supervisors and subcontract labour where approved
- Strong record keeping and client communication skills
- Confident dealing with principal contractors and site management teams
- Able to work professionally in a live construction environment

- CCTV or access control manufacturer training
- Dahua, Hikvision, Paxton, Gallagher, Lenel or similar system knowledge
- ECS or electrical site awareness
- Asbestos awareness
- Working at height awareness
- Emergency First Aid at Work
- Environmental awareness
- Experience with Berkeley, tier-one contractors or major housebuilders
You must be able to
- Manage CCTV installation works without undertaking physical installation duties

- Maintain accurate site records
- Understand work at height, cable routing, fixing points, exclusion zones and equipment checks
- Coordinate testing, commissioning and handover
- Communicate clearly with site management, installers and client representatives
- Escalate risks, delays and unsafe conditions quickly
