Overview
We are seeking a skilled External Renderer Plasterer from Teesside area to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying high-quality external render finishes to a variety of building exteriors, ensuring durability, aesthetic appeal, and compliance with project specifications. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion of render materials.
- Mix and apply external render products using appropriate tools and techniques to achieve a smooth, even finish.
- Work from scaffolding or ladders safely, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Monitor drying times and reapply or touch up as necessary to meet project standards.
- Collaborate with the construction team to ensure timely completion of projects within specified deadlines.
- Maintain a clean work environment by clearing debris and safely storing tools and materials after each task.
- Conduct quality checks on finished surfaces to ensure consistency, colour match, and adherence to specifications.
Skills
- Proven experience in external rendering or related trades such as plastering or rendering finishing.
- Strong understanding of different render materials (e.g., cement-based, acrylic, silicone-based) and their application techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on achieving high-quality finishes.
- Ability to work at heights safely using scaffolding or ladders.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks over extended periods.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to working on construction sites. Candidates with additional skills in surface preparation, colour matching, or specialised rendering techniques will be highly regarded. Pay: £16.00-£17.00 per hour
