Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Painter & Decorator to join our team for an immediate start.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for transforming spaces through colour and design, ensuring high-quality finishes in both residential and commercial projects. This role requires excellent attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.
- Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Select appropriate materials and colours based on client preferences and project requirements.
- Repair and maintain surfaces by filling holes, cracks, or imperfections prior to painting.
- Must be able to carried out ladder work.
- Wallpapering (would be an advantage)
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard within agreed timelines.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision and provide updates on progress.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Drive to various job sites as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in painting and decorating is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with clients and team members effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Attention to detail with a keen eye for aesthetics.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for travelling between job sites.
- Knowledge of different painting techniques and materials is beneficial.
