We are looking for a full-time Cook / Chef to join our retreat team.

Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per year + discretionary annual bonus (based on individual and company performance)

Your Responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Cooking
- Preparing healthy and nourishing meals for retreat guests
- Cooking a variety of Sri Lankan and Indian rice and curry dishes
- Preparing Ayurvedic-inspired meals
- Cooking healthy Western dishes using Ayurvedic principles
- Assisting with menu planning and recipe development
- Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
Kitchen Operations
- Washing up and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- Deep cleaning kitchen areas and equipment
- Supporting stock management and food deliveries
- Maintaining and continually improving kitchen compliance and food hygiene standards
- Ensuring excellent cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen
- Working efficiently as part of a small and supportive team
Creativity & Development
- Bringing fresh ideas and enthusiasm to the kitchen
- Being inspired to learn, experiment, and try new dishes
- Continuously improving skills and knowledge related to healthy and Ayurvedic cooking
We are looking for someone who understands that meaningful work includes both creating wonderful meals and carrying out the practical tasks that keep a kitchen operating to a high standard.

Essential
- Previous kitchen or chef experience
- Great with asian dishes
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and cleanliness
- Good organisational skills
Ideal
- 1–2 years of cooking experience
- Experience with Sri Lankan, Indian, vegetarian, vegan, or Ayurvedic cooking
- Experience working in hospitality, retreats, cafés, or restaurants
