To support this growth, we are looking for driven and proactive Credit Controllers to join our busy finance teams in Glasgow, Northampton, and Middlesbrough.
The Role
Working a stable 38.75-hour week from Monday to Friday, you will play a vital role in managing the company's debtor ledger. You will be responsible for ensuring timely payments from our diverse commercial client base while maintaining the strong professional relationships Cleveland Cable Company is known for.
Key Responsibilities
- Debt Collection: Proactively manage outstanding balances via phone, email, and letter.
- Query Resolution: Investigate and resolve invoice disputes efficiently by liaising with internal sales teams and branches.
- Credit Checking: Assess customer creditworthiness and assist in setting appropriate credit limits.
- Account Reconciliation: Ensure accurate allocation of payments and maintain up-to-date account records.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to management on high-risk accounts and collection progress.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in a Credit Control or accounts receivable role.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with a confident, professional telephone manner.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Good IT literacy, particularly with MS Excel and standard accounting software.
