Mikrolink has an exciting opportunity for Civils Operatives (Telecoms) to work as a team. This is an on-site role in the Midlands/Birmingham. Under the direction of a supervisor, you will be required to perform excavations, repairs and reinstatement in the public highways, installation of ducting, chambers and street cabinets and the installation of draw rope on telecoms infrastructure.
Key responsibilities and requirements:
- Provide new installation of duct, chambers, cabinets & associated equipment.
- Clear blockages in the highway and reinstate to industry standard, ensuring all information/pictures are recorded.
- Be competent in the use of abrasive wheels/wacker plates/trench compactor/mini digger/jack hammer and hold the correct certification to complete the works.
- Complete appropriate paperwork for your daily work on a tablet (job sheets/risk assessments/plant sheets/van sheets).
- Experience in risk assessment and hazard identification and a strong focus on health and safety requirements and responsibilities.
- Ensure all works are carried out to required industry standards.
- Must have good knowledge of sign/lighting & guarding (NRWSA).
- Maintain company SHEQ standards to ensure continued compliance with legislation and industry standards.
- Full UK Driving License.

- SWQR NRSWA Cert Location, avoidance of underground apparatus

Salary: Starting from £28,000 (gross per annum), depending on experience.
