Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Driver and Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role involves operating forklift trucks, managing warehouse activities, and ensuring the safe handling and movement of goods within our facility. Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklift trucks to load, unload, and transport materials around the warehouse and loading bays.
- Assist with the organisation and management of stock using our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Handle materials efficiently, ensuring accurate stacking, storage, and retrieval of goods.
- Conduct basic maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as needed to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
- Support shipping and receiving activities by preparing goods for dispatch or receipt, including documentation checks.
- Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy loads safely in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock audits as required.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise warehouse workflows and improve productivity.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift licence recognised by relevant authorities.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations or logistics is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment repair is a plus.
- Strong understanding of materials handling procedures, shipping & receiving processes, and health & safety standards.
- Basic mathematical skills for inventory management and measurement tasks.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks regularly.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour
