Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic No2 Production Chef/Cook Supervisor to oversee food manufacturing operations within our busy production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising production staff, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety, and maintaining efficient workflows. Duties
- Carry out & supervise daily food preparation and cooking , ensuring consistency and quality across all products.
- Manage and coordinate a team of kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to optimise performance, as required.
- Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with hygiene standards and our HACCP at all times.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment in accordance with health regulations and our factory protocols.
- Ensure efficient delivery of orders, managing workload distribution among team members.
- Support the development of staff through coaching and training.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen or factory setting.
- Extensive background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management.
- Previous experience working in a catering or production environment is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management.
- A Level 3 HACCP qualification is preferred but not essential. This role is ideal for a dedicated/semi-retired catering professional eager to lead a team while maintaining a work-life balance.
Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
