Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Tipper Driver to operate our specialised tipper lorries. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting and delivering materials efficiently and safely to various sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on commercial driving and delivery operations. The ideal applicant will possess a strong understanding of flatbed and tipping operations, ensuring timely and secure deliveries across different locations.
Responsibilities
- Operate HGV Tipper lorries in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies
- Load and unload materials using appropriate tipping mechanisms, ensuring safety at all times
- Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules and optimise fuel efficiency
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements related to driving hours, tachograph regulations, and vehicle documentation
- Assist with securing loads on flatbeds when necessary, ensuring stability during transit
- Uphold high standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service during all interactions
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with HGVs or similar large vehicles, minimum 2 years of Tipper driving experience.
- Knowledge of flatbed operations and tipping mechanisms is highly desirable
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving licence suitable for HGV vehicles (Category C+E)
- Excellent organisational skills to plan routes efficiently and manage schedules effectively
- Ability to operate tipping equipment safely and proficiently
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently whilst maintaining a high level of safety awareness
- Age 25+
- Must have the right to work in the UK
