Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee food safety practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations and hygiene standards
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness
- Collaborate with management on menu development and special event planning
- Train new staff members in food preparation techniques and safety procedures
- Monitor food quality during service to guarantee consistency and customer satisfaction
- Assist in serving guests when necessary, providing excellent hospitality
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen management within a restaurant environment
- Supervising experience with a track record of leading successful teams
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in culinary arts
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and management
- Experience in menu planning, high end food presentation, and customer service is highly desirable
- Formal culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are preferred
