We are recruiting at The Commercial Inn, Pontymister; a multi-award winning independent free-house that has been run by the same family for the past 27 years.
We are looking for fun, passionate and hard-working Staff (18+ only) to join our friendly, close-knit team at the Commercial; with full and part time positions available.
We are especially interested in those with Management and Kitchen experience; with opportunities for additional roles and responsibilities to be performed (salary adjusted accordingly).
Bar Staff Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take drink orders and serve beverages promptly and accurately.
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service by anticipating guest needs and preferences.
- Maintain knowledge of our menu offerings, including daily specials.
- Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations.
Kitchen Staff Duties and Responsibilities
- Deputising in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Proven leadership skills in a kitchen environment.
- Ensure that every dish in prepared and executed to the highest standards.
- Maintaining H&S, Food Hygiene including HACCP standards and procedures.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and serving techniques.
- Ability to maintain high standards of hospitality
- Promoting all aspects of our food business.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen, restaurant or bar setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong bartending skills, including knowledge of various drink recipes and techniques.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
