Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated Cleaners to join our team, responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our two premises. The ideal candidate will ensure that all areas are kept tidy, safe, and welcoming for our guests. Previous experience in hospitality or janitorial roles is advantageous, but a positive attitude and attention to detail are essential. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment where your efforts contribute directly to the comfort and safety of our guests and staff.
The successful candidates must be available to work mornings, particularly weekends, finishing times vary but start times can be flexible to suit the right individual.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning duties across our two sites, The Crown Hotel and The Mitre Inn, including bar and restaurant areas, customer toilets, hotel rooms and hotel communal areas
- Ensure all surfaces are sanitised, floors are swept and mopped, and waste is disposed of appropriately
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, paper towels, and cleaning materials as needed
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good condition and report any faults or damages promptly
- Follow health and safety regulations to prevent accidents or hazards
- Adhere to organisational standards for cleanliness and presentation at all times
- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans as required by management
Experience
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, hospitality, or janitorial work is preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Attention to detail to ensure thorough cleanliness in all assigned areas
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality
- A positive attitude and reliability are key qualities for success in this role
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 15 per week
