Early Years Educator – Permanent Role

Salary: £28,000 – £31,000 depending on qualifications and experience
36 hours per week – Monday to Thursday (Fridays off)
8 weeks fully paid holidays per year
We are currently seeking a passionate, experienced, and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our friendly and supportive early years setting in Forest Hill.

Main Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality care and education for children aged 2–5 years.
- Work in accordance with the EYFS framework.
- Take responsibility as a key person for allocated children.
- Observe, assess, and support children’s development and learning.
- Maintain children’s learning records, observations, assessments, and planning.
- Plan and contribute to engaging curriculum activities supporting Early Learning Goals.
- Build positive relationships with parents and encourage parental involvement.
- Ensure high standards of safeguarding, hygiene, health & safety, and wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate nursery records including attendance and incident records.
- Follow nursery policies and procedures at all times.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and ongoing professional development.
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working within a nursery setting with children aged 0–5 years.
- Strong knowledge of child development and the EYFS framework.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Good IT skills including Word, Excel, nursery systems, and email.
- Understanding of safeguarding, equal opportunities, and cultural diversity.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Enhanced DBS required.
