- Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your speciality
- Helping the head chef to develop new dishes and menus
- Ensuring you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
- Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
- Preparing menus in collaboration with colleagues making best use of our own kitchen garden
- Ensuring adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations
- Preparing ingredients that should be frequently used
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on food safety and hygiene
- Background in hospitality and restaurant operations
- The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
