Responsibilities
- Greeting guests warmly and providing attentive table service throughout their visit
- Taking accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring timely delivery
- Assisting with food preparation and presentation as required, adhering to food safety standards
- Upselling menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including clearing tables and sanitising surfaces
- Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Managing guest queries professionally, offering prompt solutions to ensure satisfaction
- Supporting kitchen staff with basic food preparation when necessary
- Handling cash transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems
- Demonstrating excellent time management skills to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food safety practices and standards is advantageous
- Experience in serving or guest services roles demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach
- Basic maths skills are necessary for handling payments accurately
- Kitchen or culinary experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment and work well within a team is highly valued
