We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team. Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring efficient and smooth operations during service
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
- Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current trends
- Manage food production schedules to ensure timely delivery of dishes during service hours
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen areas
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to optimise profitability
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment centred on continuous improvement
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies at all times
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
- Previous experience in food production, menu development, and kitchen organisation
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure during peak hours
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach
- Experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable
