Job Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Group Marketing Manager to oversee and manage the marketing strategy and operations for Goonvean Group and a diverse group of businesses: Goonvean Aggregates Ltd, RH Fibreboard Containers Ltd and Equinoxx Ltd. Based primarily in Cullompton, the Marketing Manager will play a key role in driving brand visibility, increasing engagement, and supporting business growth by working closely with multiple external marketing agencies and the MD's for each company within the segment.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing marketing functions, ideally within multiple industries, and will excel at coordinating and implementing marketing strategies across various platforms. This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong project management skills, the ability to oversee multiple marketing campaigns simultaneously, and the strategic mindset to deliver impactful results.
About the Companies:
- Goonvean Aggregates: A Cornwall-based supplier of aggregates, sands, and gravels, serving sectors including construction, highways, agriculture, and flood defence across the Southwest and beyond. The company specialises in processing granite-based secondary aggregates, with a strong focus on sustainability and waste reduction through recycled materials.
- RH Fibreboard Containers: A UK manufacturer of corrugated cardboard packaging, designing and producing bespoke boxes, trays, fitments, and protective packaging for industries ranging from retail to industrial logistics. With sites across Wellington, Thornbury and Bristol the company focuses on durable, recyclable packaging solutions.
- Equinoxx: A Southwest-based technology company that provides managed IT services, software solutions, payroll services, and data governance support to businesses and organisations. Founded in 2010, it helps clients streamline operations through cloud systems, cybersecurity, compliance, and bespoke digital tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Coordination: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for each business to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and business growth. Ensure alignment across all marketing channels and initiatives.
- Agency Management: Act as the main point of contact for multiple marketing agencies, ensuring they understand the company’s goals and are delivering results in line with expectations. Manage relationships, budgets, timelines, and reporting.
- Campaign Development: Oversee the execution of marketing campaigns across digital, print, social media, email marketing, and more. Ensure that each campaign aligns with the overall business strategy and target audience.
- Content Creation & Messaging: Work with internal and external teams to create content (blogs, case studies, website copy, product descriptions, etc.) that is on-brand, engaging, and informative for each business sector.
- Performance Analysis & Reporting: Measure and report on the performance of all marketing activities. Utilise analytics tools to track KPIs, ROI, and other success metrics, then adjust strategies as needed.
- Market Research & Competitor Analysis: Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences. Use this information to inform marketing strategies.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure that all marketing materials, both online and offline, are consistent with the branding and messaging of Goonvean Aggregates, RH Fibreboard and Equinoxx.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with senior management teams to align marketing goals with overall business objectives. Collaborate with other departments and the wider group (sales, product development, etc.) to ensure marketing efforts support broader company and group initiatives.
· Event Marketing and Management: Work withsenior management to successfully raise brand awareness, define target audiences for any event, run promotional campaigns, and create social media content about the event. Work with the specific business team to plan, coordinate and run an event, following up with sales and commercial team evaluation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in a marketing role, preferably with experience managing marketing for multiple companies or brands simultaneously.
- Strong project management skills and experience working with marketing agencies.
- Ability to develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in digital marketing platforms, including social media, email marketing, SEO/SEM, and content management systems.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and adjust strategies based on performance.
- Experience in B2B marketing, ideally in the engineering, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Additional Information:
- Full-time, permanent role based onsite in Cullompton.
- Monday to Friday 08.30am - 4.30pm
- The role requires regular travel to the business sites across the South West, including Bristol, Wellington, St Austell and Tolvaddon.
