Summary
We are seeking a skilled HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team in Aylesbury. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a well-established contract within the general haulage sector, supporting depot-to-depot operations and trunking work.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles across designated routes.
- Complete depot-to-depot trunking deliveries efficiently and professionally.
- Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed on time while adhering to safety regulations.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and driver logs.
- Follow company policies and procedures to uphold safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with transport planners and site teams.
- Assist with loading and unloading when required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the transportation process.
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 1 year of HGV Class 1 / general haulage experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of transportation safety regulations.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to operate delivery equipment safely and efficiently.
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
- A proactive approach to vehicle maintenance and safety compliance.
