We’re looking for an experienced and charismatic Bars Manager to lead the bar team within a stunning luxury hotel in the heart of the Lake District.
This is more than just managing a bar operation — it’s about creating unforgettable moments for guests. From expertly crafted cocktails and warm welcomes to a vibrant atmosphere and personalised service, you’ll play a key role in shaping an exceptional guest experience from start to finish.
As Bars Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind a stylish and welcoming venue where guests feel relaxed, valued, and eager to return. Leading from the front, you’ll inspire your team to deliver attentive, knowledgeable, and memorable service at every opportunity.

The Role
As Bars Manager, you will:
- Lead and inspire the bar team to deliver warm, engaging, and memorable guest experiences
- Train and develop the bars team in their drinks and cocktail knowledge
- Be highly visible on the floor, interacting with guests and ensuring exceptional service standards at all times
- Create a welcoming atmosphere where every guest feels valued and looked after
- Drive high standards across service, presentation, and product quality
- Train and mentor the team in cocktails, wines, spirits, and premium customer service
- Encourage the team to confidently recommend drinks and enhance the guest journey
- Manage the day-to-day running of the bar operation, ensuring smooth and efficient service
- Oversee stock control, ordering, GP management, and minimising wastage
- Manage rotas, staffing levels, and team performance
- Recruit, coach, and develop a motivated and passionate team culture
About You
We’re looking for a natural host with a passion for people and hospitality.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a Bar Manager or senior supervisory role within a quality hospitality environment
- Strong cocktail, wine, and premium spirits knowledge
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service
- A warm, engaging, and approachable personality
- The ability to lead by example and motivate a team to consistently exceed guest expectations
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A hands-on, energetic, and positive approach
- The ability to create a fun, professional, and guest-focused atmosphere
