We at Amberley Care Home are asmall care home offering a family environment, where we care for our residents. We place a high regard on the autonomy of our residents. We are seeking to appoint a new Registered Manager who will ensure all of our residents are consulted and have their needs and wishes recognised and met. We need our Manager to provide a safe environment for our residents, while ensuring they are treated with dignity and respect by staff who are well trained, compassionate and caring.
We will provide comprehensive training and support to the right person, however you must have;
Experience of managing a residential home at manager or deputy manager level.
Hold NVQ level 5 (working towards or equivalent).
Experience of working within CQC regulation and the CQC new framework.
Understand and have experience of delivering person centred care.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the care home team by providing leadership, supervision and guidance to staff.
Know our residents and how they wish to live there lives.
Manage the home in a collaborative manner with residents and staff.
Understand and respect autonomy of our residents by developing care plans with their input and where appropriate families, representatives and all staff associated with their care.
Ensuring compliance with CQC regulation and new pathways are embedded in the day to day care of our residents.
Ensure residents are cared for by sufficient numbers of staff who are kind and caring and are recruited, trained, and supervised appropriately.
Ensure all required records are accurate, informative and are maintained in a contemporaneous manner.
Ensure the quality assurance system is up to date and audits are completed in a manner that identifies discrepencies in a timely manner.
Develop and maintain a learning service.
Be an active listener and support staff in all aspects of delivering high quality person centred care.
Possess strong leadership skills - lead by example.
Be approachable, have an approachable manner that enables residents and staff to speak openly.
Understand good person-centred care.
Ability to work in a collaborative manner.
Strong communicator and understanding of the importance of good communication.
Good motivaror of staff.
Active listener.
