About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Pallet Logistics Manager to lead our regional logistics operation across multiple sites. Responsible for managing both our own fleet and subcontracted transport providers, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of pallets while delivering exceptional customer service and operational performance.
This is a key leadership role with responsibility for logistics operations across the Northern region, supporting continuous improvement, compliance, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage day-to-day regional logistics operations.
Oversee fleet and subcontractor performance to ensure service levels are achieved.
Monitor and drive logistics KPIs, cost reduction initiatives, and operational efficiencies.
Manage driver performance, attendance, investigations, and disciplinary processes.
Ensure compliance with Operator Licence requirements, driver hours regulations, and transport legislation.
Conduct regular site visits and provide operational support across the region.
Build strong relationships with site management, customers, and key stakeholders.
Analyse performance data and implement improvements to enhance service and profitability.
Support business projects and deputise for the Group Logistics Manager when required.
What We're Looking For
Essential
Management CPC qualification.
Minimum 3–5 years' experience in transport or logistics operational management.
Proven experience managing teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
Strong understanding of transport compliance, fleet operations, and KPI management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and operational costs.
Strong Microsoft Office and data analysis skills.
Ability to travel regularly across regional sites.
Desirable
Experience within a pallet network or pallet pooling operation.
Experience managing P&L performance.
Knowledge of transport planning systems such as Paragon.
