We are seeking a skilled Contractor to join our team, responsible for a variety of construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of skills, including fabrication, plumbing, and electrical work. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality results.
Duties
- Fabricate and assemble structures using various materials.
- Perform plumbing tasks including installation and repair of piping systems.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively and safely.
- Conduct welding operations as required for specific projects.
- Undertake masonry work including bricklaying and stonework.
- Execute carpentry tasks such as framing, roofing, and finishing work.
- Carry out painting and decorating duties to enhance the aesthetics of completed projects.
- Perform electrical installations and repairs in compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction or contracting roles.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Strong understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, masonry, carpentry, and roofing techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- Valid driver's licence is preferred for travel between job sites.
- Commitment to health and safety standards on all projects.
