Time 4 Recruitment, now part of Fawkes and Reece are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a major demolition and enabling works project, working for a Tier One Contractor in Plymouth to start the end of July for 30 weeks work.
This contract opportunity is ideally suited to a Project Manager with a strong background in asbestos removal, demolition, soft strip, and associated enabling works, who can confidently manage site operations, subcontractors, programme delivery, and health & safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of the project team, reporting directly to the Project Lead.
- Monitor and manage programme requirements to ensure works are delivered on schedule.
- Coordinate and oversee demolition, soft strip, and asbestos removal activities.
- Review, approve, and sign off subcontractor RAMS.
- Chair and coordinate weekly safety and project coordination meetings.
- Produce and distribute meeting minutes and action trackers.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Liaise effectively with site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
Essential Requirements
- Must have Tier one experience
- Proven experience managing demolition, soft strip, and/or asbestos removal projects.
- Valid First Aid certification.
- Current CSCS Site Management Card.
- SMSTS qualification.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and site management procedures.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
