Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children and supporting their early development. Duties
- Manage the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with relevant regulations
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of nursery staff, promoting professional development and teamwork
- Develop and implement educational programmes aligned with early childhood education principles
- Oversee the planning and organisation of activities that stimulate children’s physical, emotional, and cognitive development
- Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding their children’s progress and wellbeing
- Ensure health and safety policies are strictly adhered to, maintaining a secure environment for children and staff
- Manage administrative tasks including staffing rotas, budgeting, and record keeping
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of childcare services provided
Experience
- Proven management experience within a nursery or early childhood education setting
- Extensive knowledge of childcare practices, early childhood development, and relevant legislation
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team effectively
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Experience working directly with children in a childcare or educational environment
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting supplies or attending external meetings or events

Pay: £28,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
