ISQ Recruitment is recruiting for a Project Engineer to join a technical product development business in the West Norfolk / North Cambridgeshire area.
This is a good opportunity for an engineer who wants to work in a regulated device development environment, supporting complex technical programmes from development activity through to verification, qualification and transfer.
The role would suit someone with experience in project engineering, development engineering, NPI, design transfer, verification, qualification or technical programme delivery. Experience in medical technology, life sciences, pharmaceutical devices, combination products or another regulated product environment would be useful.
You will be taking ownership of assigned engineering workstreams, coordinating technical activity across internal teams, suppliers and external partners, and helping to keep development programmes moving through key technical stages.
The Role
As Project Engineer, you will support technical development programmes across engineering, quality, suppliers, manufacturing partners and programme stakeholders.
Duties will include:
- Delivering assigned engineering and project activities across regulated device development programmes
- Taking ownership of assigned workstreams, actions, timelines and technical deliverables
- Coordinating technical activity across engineering, quality, suppliers and external partners
- Supporting engineering builds, verification activities, qualification activities and transfer deliverables
- Preparing and maintaining development documentation, technical records and project files
- Supporting design control and quality system requirements
- Tracking actions, risks and issues to support programme delivery
- Helping to resolve technical or operational issues affecting project progress
- Taking part in technical reviews, root cause investigations and improvement activity
- Supporting supplier and partner activity linked to development and transfer work
- Contributing to improvements in engineering, programme delivery and development processes
- Supporting occasional international travel where required for supplier, partner or transfer activity
About You
The role would suit someone with experience as a Project Engineer, Development Engineer, NPI Engineer, Technical Project Engineer, Industrialisation Engineer or similar within a regulated or quality-led product development environment.
You will need:
- Experience in project engineering, development engineering, NPI, design transfer, verification, qualification or technical delivery
- Strong engineering understanding and a practical approach to problem solving
- Experience working in a regulated, quality-led or highly documented product development environment
- Confidence coordinating technical activity across teams, suppliers or external partners
- Ability to take ownership of actions, timelines and deliverables
- Experience with technical documentation, development records or design files
- Good communication skills and confidence working with different stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and an organised approach
- Confidence following technical issues through to resolution
Experience from medical technology, life sciences, pharmaceutical devices, combination products, regulated manufacturing, advanced product development or similar environments would be useful.
