The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Care Home Team Leader to join our team. You will be responsible for leading shifts, supervising staff, and ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care.
This role is ideal for an experienced Senior Carer ready to progress into a leadership position.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the care team during shifts
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, person-centred care
- Administer and oversee medication in line with policies
- Develop, review, and update individual care plans
- Carry out and update risk assessments to ensure resident safety
- Monitor and evaluate care delivery to meet residents’ changing needs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care documentation
- Support residents with personal care and daily living activities
- Conduct effective handovers and delegate tasks appropriately
- Monitor residents’ health and escalate concerns promptly
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
- Promote dignity, respect, independence, and choice
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and management
RequirementsEssential:
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Previous experience as a Senior Carer or Team Leader
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience in medication administration
- Good understanding of care planning and risk assessment processes
- Knowledge of safeguarding and care standards
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 5 (or working towards)
- Experience in dementia or residential care settings
- Knowledge of CQC regulations and inspections
