We are seeking a reliable and professional PTS Ambulance Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting patients and medical personnel, ensuring timely and secure journeys. This role requires excellent driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and patients. Duties
- Safely operate ambulance vehicles, including flatbed lorries and specialised transport units, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Transport patients, medical staff, and equipment to designated locations promptly and securely.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic mechanical checks to ensure operational safety.
- Assist service users to get ready and moving from bed to bed with specialised equipments.
- Maintain accurate records of journeys, vehicle maintenance, and any incidents during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, medical personnel, and other team members to coordinate transport schedules.
- Ensure the ambulance is clean, well-maintained, and ready for service at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driving licence with a clean driving record; experience as a delivery driver or warehouse driver is desirable.
- Proven experience driving flatbed vehicles or similar large transport units.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and patients.
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and professionally.

Pay: £12.71-£15.88 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 36.0 per week
