Job Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join Sodexo within our National Probation Service Approved Premises.
You will help maintain high standards of cleanliness across the site, supporting the health, hygiene, and comfort of residents and staff.
This is a meaningful role within a residential setting, helping to create a safe, clean, and supportive environment for vulnerable individuals.
What you’ll do:
- Carry out scheduled cleaning tasks with a strong focus on detail
- Undertake periodic deep cleaning as directed by your supervisor
- Ensure all areas, including kitchens, toilets, and communal spaces, are clean, safe, and presentable
- Replenish supplies such as toilet tissue, soap, and other consumables
- Report any faults, hazards, or maintenance issues promptly, working closely with the security team
- Maintain cleanliness standards across all areas, including shared security spaces
- Adopt an approachable and helpful attitude in all day-to-day interactions
What you bring:
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, with knowledge of cleaning products and their uses, but not essential as full training will be provided, including health and safety
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain high standards
- A positive, team-focused attitude and willingness to follow instructions
