Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated carers to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The role involves assisting with daily activities, ensuring wellbeing, and fostering independence for those in your care. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support the development and implementation of personalised care plans tailored to individual needs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, promoting their mental wellbeing
- Facilitate communication between clients and healthcare professionals or family members
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems
- Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation
- Monitor and report any changes in the health or behaviour of clients to relevant professionals
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including infection control procedures
Requirements
- Valid driving licence with the ability to drive clients safely in a vehicle
- Experience working within a care home or providing home care services is desirable
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow them accurately
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication
- Proficiency with IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including weekends if necessary
