Coffee Roastery Assistant
Location: Upton Scudamore, Wiltshire
Hours: Part-time. Starting at 12 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday, Friday. Potential to
increase (including occasional weekends and holiday cover) Performance review after 3 months
Wages: £13/hr
We are looking for a motivated, trustworthy, and enthusiastic Coffee Roastery Assistant to join
our team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to start their journey in the world of
specialty coffee within a purpose-led business supporting women.
Main Duties:
● Packing & Dispatch: Packing retail and wholesale coffee orders with meticulous care
and accuracy.
● Production Support: Assisting with the roasting process under supervision and
learning the craft.
● Roastery Upkeep: Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation
throughout the roastery.
● Customer Care: Answering customer queries via email, phone, or in person with a
friendly, professional manner.
● General Operations: Supporting the team with day-to-day tasks, including occasional
local deliveries.
About You:
● Reliable & Practical: You are a dependable person who takes pride in their job
● Time Management: You have an aptitude for timely execution of tasks and meeting
daily deadlines.
● Physically Fit: You are comfortable with physical tasks, including lifting and moving up
to 20kg, and standing for long periods
● Mission-Driven: You have a genuine belief in our mission regarding gender equality in
the coffee industry.
● Great Communicator: You are a team player with excellent communication skills and a
positive attitude.
● Technical Basics: Computer literate and comfortable using basic software.
● Driver: A full UK Driver’s license is required.
No previous experience in coffee is required, as full training will be provided. What matters most
is that you are an excellent ambassador for our business, and someone who is passionate,
hard-working, and keen to grow within a supportive, values-driven team.
This is currently a part-time position, but for the right individual, there is potential for it to grow
into a larger role within the business.
