KH Resourcing are seeking a skilled Forklift Driver to join our warehouse team in Wetherby LS22 area. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating forklifts safely, and supporting shipping and receiving operations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge to contribute to smooth logistics operations.
Shift ( rotational shift )
Week 1) 6am-2pm
Week 2) 2pm-10pm
Pay: 13.60 an hour, after 12 weeks it will increase up to £14.97 an hour.
Duties
- Operate forklift equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and move goods within the warehouse
- Manage materials handling tasks, including stacking, organising, and storing products
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and proper storage of items
- Conduct basic equipment repairs or report maintenance issues promptly to minimise downtime
- Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately
- Perform load and unload activities using appropriate techniques to ensure safety and efficiency
- Support general warehouse operations such as organising stock, cleaning work areas, and maintaining safety standards
- Apply basic maths skills for inventory counts, measurements, and calculations related to materials handling
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating a forklift within a warehouse environment
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) is desirable
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform minor equipment repairs or troubleshooting
- Strong materials handling skills with an understanding of shipping & receiving procedures
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in inventory management
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Basic math skills for measurements, counting, and record keeping
- Prior experience in warehouse operations or logistics is preferred
- Valid forklift certification or licence is required
