Airbag Disposal UK and Vantage Waste Solutions are market leaders in the collection, transportation and compliant recycling of automotive safety restraint systems and hazardous waste across the UK and Europe.
As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and adaptable Van Driver / Warehouse Operative to join our Operations team based in Sheffield.
This is far more than a driving role. One day you could be completing customer collections across the UK, the next you'll be supporting warehouse operations, waste processing or specialist recycling activities. Please note: This is not a multi-drop parcel delivery role. We're looking for someone who enjoys a varied position combining nationwide collections, customer interaction and warehouse operations within a specialist hazardous waste and automotive environment. This role involves nationwide travel, warehouse duties, manual handling and occasional overnight stays. It is not a local multi-drop delivery position.
About the role
You'll play an important part in keeping our operation running safely and efficiently by:
- Completing customer collections and deliveries throughout the UK.
- Representing the business professionally at customer sites.
- Supporting warehouse operations, including loading, unloading and processing materials.
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring vehicles remain safe and roadworthy.
- Completing transport documentation accurately.
- Working safely with regulated and hazardous waste streams.
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping and health & safety standards.
- Supporting colleagues across the operation as business needs require.
Some overnight stays will be required as part of the role, with occasional European travel where operationally necessary.
What we're looking for
Essential
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Previous commercial driving experience.
- A flexible, reliable and professional approach.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable with manual handling and warehouse-based work.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable (training can be provided)
- ADR Licence or ADR Awareness.
- Forklift Truck Licence.
- Experience within transport, logistics or warehouse operations.
- Experience working with regulated or hazardous materials.

Working hours
Full-time, minimum 40 hours per week
Some flexibility is required to support operational requirements, including occasional overnight stays.
