Deputy Manager – Palm Cocktail Bar & Eatery (Chester)
Palm Cocktail Bar & Eatery is one of Chester’s go-to venues for cocktails, bottomless brunch, and high-energy events. We’re known for our atmosphere, standards, and the kind of service people come back for.
We’re now looking for a Deputy Manager who can step in, take control, and help drive the business forward alongside senior management.
This is not a “stand around and supervise” role — you’ll be fully hands-on, leading from the front and setting the tone for the entire venue.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for supporting the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the business, ensuring everything operates smoothly — from service and staffing to standards and sales.
You’ll be expected to:
- Run shifts confidently and independently
- Lead and motivate the team during busy services
- Maintain high standards across service, drinks, and cleanliness
- Handle customer issues professionally and decisively
- Drive sales, upselling, and overall guest experience
- Support staff training, onboarding, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety, and company procedures
- Step up and take full control in the GM’s absence
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a supervisor or management role within a busy bar or restaurant
- Strong leadership presence — people naturally follow you
- Confident under pressure (especially during high-volume brunches and events)
- Organised, reliable, and commercially aware
- Not afraid to challenge poor performance or make decisions
- A proper team player who also takes ownership

Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
