Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes or within their own homes, assisting with daily activities and promoting independence. Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support with mobility and transferring, ensuring safety at all times
- Help with meal preparation and feeding where necessary
- Administer medication in accordance with care plans and protocols
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in condition
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals
- Support clients with household tasks to promote independence and wellbeing
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for all
- Utilise IT systems to update care records and communicate with team members effectively
- Drive clients to appointments or outings when required, using own or company vehicle
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation of clients
- Knowledge of care plans and procedures is advantageous
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication
- Strong IT skills to manage documentation and communication efficiently
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing

Pay: £12.71-£15.71 per hour
