Role – Legal Cashier Cashroom – Remote

The Role
Our Legal Cashiers are the beating heart of the organisation, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of all our clients. With new clients secured every month, you’ll never have a quiet day as a legal cashier.
Your main duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- Posting Client & Office/Firm account transactions
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Bank payments (BACS & CHAPS) and transfers between accounts
- Payment of professional disbursements in line with Accounts Rules
- Month End processes
- Assisting with VAT Returns
- Liaising with client fee earners & support staff
- Assisting with training and support for Assistant Legal Cashiers
- Other ad hoc duties as required
For this Legal Cashier role, you will need to have:
- Experience of working within Legal Accounting
- Knowledge of Legal Accounts Rules (covering solicitors in England & Wales and/or Scotland)
- Strong numerical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work well independently and within a team
- Strong IT literacy
- A desire to learn quickly and work hard in a fast-paced business
- An aptitude for problem solving
The following are also desirable:
- Experience working with multiple accounting software packages
- ILFM qualification or equivalent
