Workshop Controller
Location – Watford
Salary – £36,000 Basic + Bonus, OTE £50,000
Working Hours – Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm, Saturdays as required
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Workshop Controller to join a main dealership in the Watford area. Workshop Controller Role:
- Manage the day-to-day operation of a busy workshop
- Lead, motivate and support a team of 16 Technicians and 4 Apprentices
- Allocate work effectively to maximise workshop productivity and efficiency
- Monitor technician performance against efficiency and productivity targets
- Work closely with the Service Manager to ensure the department delivers exceptional customer service
- Ensure all repairs are completed to manufacturer and company standards
- Liaise with Service Advisors and Technicians to maintain an efficient workflow
- Help drive departmental profitability, productivity and customer retention
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and workshop organisation
Workshop Controller Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Workshop Controller within a main dealership is highly desirable
- Strong Senior Service Advisors looking to step into a Workshop Controller role will also be considered
- Main dealer experience is essential
- Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to maximise workshop performance
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Full UK Driving Licence
