Job Overview
We are seeking a flexible, motivated and guest-focused Hotel Assistant to join our team. This is a multi-skilled role designed to support key operational areas of the hotel, including housekeeping, food & beverage, reception, and kitchen support. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy variety, teamwork, and delivering excellent guest experiences across all aspects of hotel operations
Key Accountabilities
Guest Experience
Deliver a friendly, professional and welcoming service to all guests
· Respond to guest queries and resolve issues efficiently
· Maintain high standards of presentation and service across all departments
Housekeeping
· Clean guest bedrooms and public areas to required standards
· Ensure rooms are prepared efficiently for arrivals
· Handle linen and maintain cleanliness of storage areas
Food & Beverage
· Assist with breakfast, bar and/or restaurant service
· Set up and clear tables, ensuring cleanliness and organisation
· Support food service and basic preparation tasks where required
Reception / Front of House
· Assist with guest check-in and check-out procedures
Handle phone calls, emails, and guest enquiries
· Provide local knowledge and support guest needs
Kitchen Support (Pot Wash)
· Operate pot wash and maintain kitchen cleanliness
· Support chefs with basic preparation tasks (where trained)
· Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards
Flexibility Expectations
· Work across departments based on business needs
· Support different shift patterns, including mornings, evenings, and weekends · Potential to work across multiple sites (where applicable)
Skills & Experience · Essential ·
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
· Excellent teamwork and communication skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Flexible and willing to learn multiple roles
· Desirable
· Previous experience in hospitality (hotel, restaurant, or similar)
· Customer service experience
· Basic knowledge of food hygiene or housekeeping standards
Training and Development
Full training will be provided across all departments
