Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting, making it essential for candidates to have a strong work ethic and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Operate delivery vehicles, including vans, in a safe and responsible manner.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring that all items are handled with care.
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to maximise time management and minimise delays.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and returns, ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly.
- Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Assist in warehouse duties as required, including inventory management and organisation of stock.
- Checking your pallets for delivery and wrapping your pallets.
- Cleaning out your van and making sure it is ready for next driver.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong commercial driving skills with a valid driving licence suitable for vans.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
- Experience with heavy lifting and handling of goods safely.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A positive attitude towards customer service and problem-solving.
- Confident driver especially in cities
