This role is critical to ensuring our products leave manufacturing defect-free and ready for paint. You’ll be responsible for running our 100T and G75 power presses, preparing products for powder coating, and carrying out final fitting and quality checks — all with a strong sense of urgency, ownership, and pride in workmanship.
Operate 100T and G75 power presses safely and efficiently
Prepare products for powder coating, including wiping and surface preparation
Inspect products and identify any defects, feeding issues back to manufacturing
Fit products together to ensure correct alignment and high-quality finish
Sign off completed products to confirm quality standards are met
Maintain cleaning routines for equipment, filters, and work areas in line with rota
Support picking and packing of spares orders for dispatch
Load vehicle runs when required
Complete and manage associated paperwork accurately
Adhere to 3S (Sweep, Sort, Standardise) routines and housekeeping standards
Actively embrace and contribute to our Lean culture
Lean Thinking (knowledge of Paul Akers’ 2 Second Lean is highly desirable)
Beginner or above experience in a paint shop, finishing, or end-of-line quality environment
Strong focus on adding quality at every stage of the process
Understanding of the setup, operation, and basic maintenance of presses and powder coating equipment (or willingness to learn)
Ability to follow all personal and company safety procedures, including correct PPE use
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the team
Ability to stay focused and consistent during repetitive or detailed tasks
Confident speaking up in daily company-wide huddles
Well presented, professional demeanour, and positive attitude
Commitment to self-development and learning (e.g. reading, skill building)
