Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic new member of our Market Assistant team. This team is responsible for maintaining high standards in the cleaning and replenishing of the food hall. The ideal candidate will be positive and self motivated with some experience in a similar role. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our food hall and ensuring that both staff and customers have a positive experience. This position is for predominantly evening and weekend shifts. Note: candidates must be available until 11.30pm Mon-Thurs, and 12.30am at weekends. Hours are flexible and will be between 20-35 per week, depending on availability and suitability.
Duties
- Assist the Market Hall Manager in overseeing daily operations and staff management.
- Overseeing the completion of opening and closing checklists and locking up procedures.
- Lead by example by being organised, hard working and self motivated.
- Train and mentor team members to enhance their efficiency and performance.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards are met.
- Communicate effectively with team members and food vendors to foster a collaborative environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
