Part-time | Saturday mornings | £10-£20 per hour
Do you have bags of energy, love making children laugh, and enjoy sport?
We’re looking for a fantastic Lead Coach to take ownership of one of our established Rugbytots venues in Kidderminster.
Rugbytots is the world’s favourite rugby play programme for children aged 18 months to 7 years. Our classes combine imagination, movement and sport to help children develop confidence, coordination and social skills in a fun, supportive environment.
This isn’t a traditional rugby coaching role.
You don’t need to be a rugby expert. We provide all the training, session plans and equipment. What matters most is your personality. If you’re enthusiastic, confident, engaging and great with young children, we’d love to hear from you.
What you'll do
- Loves working with young children and their families.
- Has a naturally outgoing, fun and enthusiastic personality.
- Is confident speaking to groups of children and adults. Ask yourself, "could I stand in front of a large group of children and adults pretending to be a monkey?"
- Enjoys sport and physical activity.
- Can bring energy and imagination to every session.
- Is reliable, organised and professional.
- Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle. You'll need to transport your kit.
What we're looking for
You'll be someone who:
- Deliver fun, energetic Rugbytots sessions every Saturday morning.
- Lead classes for children aged 18 months to 7 years.
- Create a positive, welcoming atmosphere for children and parents.
- Follow our structured coaching programme and activity plans.
- Set up, pack away and transport equipment to and from the venue.
- Become the familiar face of our Kidderminster classes.
Experience that would be useful
- Children’s sports coaching
- Teaching or teaching assistant roles
- Nursery or childcare experience
- Holiday camps and activity programmes
- Youth work
- Playing or coaching any team sport
Rugby or tag rugby experience is helpful but absolutely not essential.
Hours & Pay
- Saturday mornings only
- Typically 8:30am – 11:00am
- Approximately 2-2.5 hours per week
- £10-£20 per hour depending on experience
- Additional paid opportunities to cover classes at other venues on other days
What we provide
- Full Rugbytots training programme
- Detailed session plans and coaching support
- Enhanced DBS check
- First Aid training
- Uniform and coaching equipment
- Ongoing development opportunities. For example, we have paid for our coaches to do courses with the RFU.
If you’re the type of person who can walk into a room and instantly bring energy, enthusiasm and smiles, we’d love to hear from you.
Pay: £14.50-£20.00 per hour
