Overview
Cedars Care Ltd Nottingham is looking for compassionate and dedicated Care Support Workers to join our domiciliary care team. You will provide personalised care and support to people in their own homes across Carlton and the surrounding Nottinghamshire area, promoting independence and improving quality of life. This is a rewarding role for someone with a genuine desire to make a positive difference, whether or not you have formal care experience, as full training is provided. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised care plans tailored to each person's needs, including help with daily activities such as washing, dressing, and grooming
- Support people with their medication and health monitoring, following their care plan and our protocols
- Help with meal preparation, making sure nutritional needs and any dietary requirements are met
- Provide companionship and emotional support, building respectful and trusting relationships
- Move and handle people safely using the correct equipment and techniques, all of which we train you in
- Support people with specific needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, or end of life care, using the approaches set out in their care plan
- Travel between people's homes safely and reliably so that calls are delivered on time
- Keep accurate records of the care you provide and report any concerns or changes in someone's condition to the team

What we are looking for
Essential
- A caring, reliable, and patient nature, and a real commitment to high quality, person centred care
- Good communication skills and the ability to build rapport with people from all backgrounds
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, as the role involves travelling between homes
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including some weekends
- The right to work in the UK
Desirable
- Previous experience in home care, supported living, or a care setting
- Understanding of dementia and Alzheimer's support and end of life care
- A first aid certificate, although we can provide training
This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check including the adults barred list. References will be required.

Pay: £12.70-£14.00 per hour
