Amber Mace is delighted to be working with a specialist care provider to recruit an experienced and passionate Deputy Manager for a highly regarded neurological rehabilitation service in Loughborough.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered General Nurse looking to progress into senior leadership, or for an experienced Deputy Manager seeking a rewarding role within a specialist clinical environment.
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring exceptional standards of care, regulatory compliance, and positive outcomes for individuals with complex neurological conditions.
About the Service
This specialist rehabilitation service supports adults living with:
- Acquired and traumatic brain injuries
- Progressive neurological conditions
- Spinal cord injuries
- Complex nursing needs
- Palliative care requirements
The service provides a range of rehabilitation pathways, helping individuals maximise independence, achieve personal goals, and improve their quality of life through a multidisciplinary approach.
The Role
This is a hands-on clinical leadership position where you will be a visible presence within the service, supporting both residents and staff while maintaining high clinical and operational standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Registered Manager with the daily management of the service.
- Leading, mentoring, and supervising nursing and care teams.
- Ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care.
- Monitoring care quality, clinical standards, and service performance.
- Supporting staff development through supervision, appraisals, and training.
- Assisting with recruitment, retention, and workforce planning.
- Contributing to care planning, risk assessments, and clinical reviews.
- Participating in multidisciplinary meetings and collaborative care planning.
- Maintaining compliance with CQC regulations and internal policies.
- Supporting quality improvement initiatives and service development.
- Participating in the management on-call rota when required.
About You
To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:
- Active NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN).
- At least 2 years' post-registration experience.
- Previous experience leading or supervising staff within a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of care planning, risk assessment, and clinical governance.
- A thorough understanding of CQC standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- A genuine passion for delivering person-centred care and achieving positive outcomes.
Desirable Experience
- Experience within neuro-rehabilitation, complex care, or neurological services.
- Previous experience as a Senior Nurse, Clinical Lead, Unit Manager, or Deputy Manager.
- Experience conducting staff supervision, appraisals, and competency assessments.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
