Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of customer service. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on commercial driving and delivery operations. Responsibilities
- Operate HGV Class 2 lorries, including flatbed vehicles, in compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies
- Safely load, secure, and unload goods, ensuring the integrity of cargo during transit
- Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery schedules and minimise delays
- Conduct pre-journey vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with legal requirements
- Provide excellent customer service by delivering goods professionally and courteously
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols during daily operations
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly as a delivery driver
- Familiarity with flatbed transportation is desirable but not essential
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for cargo securement
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during deliveries
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and vehicle checks
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by operational needs
