Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, supporting our accounting functions, processing payroll and pension contributions. The ideal applicant will have experience using SAGE software programmes and a solid understanding of accounts payable processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records using SAGE.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is up-to-date
- Assist with preparing financial reports and statements as required
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Organise and file financial documents in accordance with company policies
- Collaborate with external accountants or auditors during audits or reviews
- Process payroll and pension contributions
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards
Experience
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role, preferably within a small to medium-sized organisation
- Proficiency using Sage accountancy software
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
- Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity
- Knowledge of bookkeeping principles and financial regulations
