GreenFolk Gardening is a growing, quality-focused horticultural company caring for stunning private gardens and country estates across Bristol, Bath, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, the Cotswolds, Wye Valley, Forest of Dean and Monmouthshire.
We're looking for an experienced gardener with excellent horticultural knowledge to lead a small team and help deliver exceptional garden maintenance to our clients. If you're passionate about plants, enjoy working outdoors, and love seeing the results of your work, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing
As a Team Leader you'll:
Lead and motivate a small garden maintenance team.
Maintain beautiful private gardens to an exceptionally high standard.
Carry out seasonal pruning, border care, planting, lawn care and general horticultural maintenance.
Delegate tasks and support the development of team members.
Train colleagues in the safe and effective use of tools and machinery.
Build positive relationships with clients and represent GreenFolk professionally on site.
Help maintain the high standards and reputation GreenFolk is known for.
What we're looking for
Must have own vehicle for commuting to work and willing to carry tools.
You'll ideally have:
Minimum 5 years' professional horticultural experience.
At least 2 years' experience in garden maintenance.
Excellent plant knowledge and identification skills.
Strong understanding of pruning, plant care and seasonal gardening practices.
Experience leading or supervising others (preferred but not essential if you have the right attitude).
Great attention to detail and a genuine passion for horticulture.
Confidence using a wide range of garden machinery and power tools.
A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle (essential).
