Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our friendly team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, with the ability to lead and inspire kitchen staff. As a Chef you will be responsible for overseeing food production, ensuring high standards of food safety, and creating great experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Monitor food quality and presentation, making adjustments as necessary to meet customer expectations.
- Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings.
- Ensure proper stock levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed.
- Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and kitchen operations.
- Assist in managing kitchen budgets and controlling food costs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a high-volume restaurant or catering environment.
- Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of food preparation techniques.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in supervising kitchen staff.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and Bank Holidays as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to £30,000.00 per year
