Electrical Technician | 6am-2pm, 8am-4pm, 2pm-10pm | Monday - Friday
Up to just under £45k plus overtime
In busy periods there will be a night shift requirement with an additional pay increase for shifts worked.
Jackson Hogg are delighted to be supporting their longstanding client with the appointment of an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join them on a permanent basis.
You will be working as part of a problem-solving engineering team who are repsonsible for the preventative maintenance, inspection, fault-finding and repair of cranes & mobile plant assets.
You will be required to respond to breakdowns and failures using problem solving techniques to return equipment back into service within tight timescales.
Skills Required
- Electromechanical devices such as solenoids, thrusters and actuators.
- Electric motors and drivetrains, both AC and DC up to 400kW.
- Power electronics converters such as inverters and rectifiers.
- Motor control methods soft start, direct online, variable speed drives, resistance banks and thyristors.
- Switching devices including relays, contactors, circuit breakers and proximity switches.
- 5+ years experience working within heavy industries
- HNC or time served route
- Previous maintnenace experience is essential
