Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to individuals in a care home settings. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support clients in maintaining their independence while ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
- Implement and follow care plans tailored to each individual’s needs.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Document client progress and any changes in condition accurately in accordance with organisational policies.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in care practices.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with IT systems for documentation purposes is desirable.
- A caring and patient attitude towards individuals requiring assistance.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of clients as they evolve.
