EYFS Teaching Assistant
Hammersmith & Fulham, W12 (commutable from Shepherd's Bush, White City, Acton, Hammersmith, Chiswick)
£105-£120 per day
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary
Long Term Futures is seeking an enthusiastic and nurturing EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Hammersmith & Fulham from September.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Early Years practitioner or Teaching Assistant looking to support children during a crucial stage of their development. The school is looking for someone who understands the importance of creating a positive, engaging and supportive learning environment where children can develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.
The successful candidate will work closely with the EYFS team tosupport learning through both structured activities and child-led play.
About the Role
Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff, you will:
- Support pupils across the EYFS curriculum during classroom activities and continuous provision
- Encourage the development of communication, language and social skills
- Assist with early phonics, literacy and numeracy activities
- Support children's learning through play-based and practical experiences
- Help create a safe, engaging and stimulating learning environment
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
- Support children's independence, confidence and emotional development
This role would suit someone who enjoys the variety and creativity that comes with working in Early Years and is passionate about supporting young children to thrive.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Previous experience working within an EYFS or primary school setting
- Good understanding of the EYFS Framework
- Experience supporting early phonics and language development is desirable
- Warm, patient and enthusiastic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Committed to a long-term role from September
